
Script
In the purest sense, a script defines a set of activities or speeches
that must be repeated in sequence the same way every time the script
is followed. For Web-related matters, this term usually refers to a
CGI program written in an interpreted programming language, such as Perl.
Because a program written in an interpreted language must be executed
step-by-step each time it's called, it behaves exactly like a script--
which is why it's called one!
